According to numerous recent studies, children who participate in daily physical activities are more physically and mentally fit, have better health habits, have fewer behavioural problems, and perform better academically in school.
The value of regular, daily physical activity is of utmost importance in this digital age, and during a time when your child may be feeling the emotional and academic pressures of adolescence. Please understand that the M.S.S. Phys. Ed. Department feels strongly that Health and Physical Education is for all students, regardless of one’s skill or ability in particular sports. Emphasis at all levels will be placed on effort and participation to the best of the student’s ability. At Markville we seek to foster healthy active living skills through physical and health literacy in an inclusive and dynamic environment.
