Welcome to the Richmond Hill High School website where you can find important information about our school and its programs. Our school serves a large urban community including approximately 1700 students who have many interests and abilities.
As a staff, our goal is to meet the needs of all learners with a focus on student achievement and well being. We offer a variety of courses and specialty programs for our students in order to support their success in any post secondary pathway, including: College, University, Workplace, and Apprenticeships. The specialty programs include the Gifted Program, Advanced Placement Program, Specialist High Skills Major, Personalized Alternative Education Program, Co-Op, Specialist High Skills Major, Developmentally-Delayed Program and an Orthopedic Program.
Student achievement is often connected to a student’s involvement in school activities. Students at RHHS have many opportunities to become involved in a variety of co-curricular activities including the arts, student council (STUCO) and a wide array of clubs. RHHS also offers a number of teams in the fall, winter and spring seasons.
We are proud to say that Richmond Hill High School is a gold certified Eco-School and we ask that all members of our school community support our environmental initiatives in helping to keep our planet green.
Home-school partnerships are important to a student’s success. Therefore we encourage all parents/guardians to provide feedback about school initiatives by attending School Council meetings.
We invite you to take the time to explore our website to find the information that you are looking for or visit the York Region District School Board website.
