Message from the Principal

Rosedale Heights Public School is an exciting and inclusive place to learn. Staff, parents, and students share in opportunities to think critically, make a difference in the lives of others, and work through meaningful problems and rich tasks. Our focus is on equity, math, literacy, mental health /well being, and modern learning. We build relationships as partners with open communication focussed on helping each student reach personal excellence. At Rosedale, our diversity gives us strength and optimism.

Rosedale Heights Public School is committed to developing critical and creative thinking for all students. Skills are addressed across the curriculum for students to develop reading, writing, problem-solving, media literacy, listening, and speaking skills that will serve them well throughout life. Technology, and various arts and athletic programs continue to support and enhance learning experiences. We want our students to have the skills, attitudes, and mindset that will serve them well throughout their school careers and beyond.  At Rosedale Heights, we want our community to know that reaching potential, developing trusting relationships, and becoming responsible citizens are keys to success.

Please take a moment to read our school touchstone, created collaboratively by our students in 2012:

We are the Rosedale Rockets and the sky is the limit

We respect our differences and accept people for their individuality

Staying true to ourselves, we do what is right for our school community

We own up to our mistakes and learn from them

We set goals and work to achieve them; effort is what makes greatness

We respect our teachers, our community and our peers

Showing support however we can, we help our friends

We speak the truth with words that don’t offend or hurt

Here at Rosedale protecting the planet is a necessity

Rumours and bullying walk hand in hand

Our school is not a building for bullying and there is no room for rumours

The future starts here!

These words mean a lot to our staff and students.  They guide us in what we do each day.
