Students who are working towards their OSSD are able to use specified music certificates towards credits. For more information about the certificate requirements, please contact the Guidance Services Department in your school.
This program uses a blended learning format
consisting of pool instruction, face-to-face instruction in class and on-line
learning. It is offered in partnership between the Continuing Education,
York Region District School Board and the City of Markham. Upon
completion, successful students may earn the following courses and
certifications.
Students earn up to 7 credits towards their OSSD,
become a certified Personal Support Worker (PSW), and gain employment in the
health care field. The PSW program is taught by: teachers, registered nurses,
physiotherapists, allied health professionals, and social workers.
You can earn credits in a smaller class environment with personalized timetables and alternative learning approaches to meet your individual needs.
If you are interested in earning credits within your regular day school in the form of alternate environments, speak to your guidance counselor.
