Welcome to the UHS

Science Department

Science comes alive at Unionville High School!

During the semester, science students at UHS can experience a diverse variety of learning opportunities while they explore the exciting and often mysterious world of science and its applications.

Explore the stuff that life is made of in Biology where students use microscopes to study cells, dissect prepared specimens to better understand organ systems and partake in a Biotechnology Lab.

Examine the world of the infinitely small in Chemistry and discover how atoms and molecules interact in strange yet predictable ways. Gain insight and experience with the chemical reactions that occur silently everyday in and around our bodies.

Feel the forces of Physics through a  combination of demonstrations and hands on activities. Experience first hand the shocking principles of electricity, the application of optics, motion and light. “GRAVITY” is no downer in our classes.

Earth and Space

Reach into  Earth and Space and explore the wonders of the universe. Learn about the history of the earth and examine its geological principles.  Engage in discussions of parallel universes and other cosmological theories that lead you to rethink our position in the universe.
Science at Unionville High School;
our teachers assist students
to become aware of the world around them
and prepare for the future.
