Our Program
Each student is unique and learns in his or her own way. The focus of the Student Success Program at Westmount Collegiate Institute is to support students and ensure that each child has all of the learning opportunities he or she needs to be successful and beyond.
Some of the ways that Student Success supports learning opportunities include:
Transition planning and activities to ensure that students have a smooth transition from elementary school to high school, as well as a purposeful exit strategy upon graduation.
Advocacy, daily social/emotional support, attendance, and academic support through student monitoring and meetings between students and Student Success teachers, and/or other resources within the school and the larger community.
Credit salvaging and Credit recovery to support students during and after a course to achieve success where appropriate.
