This program allows students to develop their dance skills and learn the basis for communicating through movement. Student learning includes creativity, dance techniques, artistry, rehearsals, and performances.The curriculum is based on the study of a variety of dance forms, with a main focus of ballet, modern, jazz and composition.
The theory component includes the study of anatomy, healthy body/nutrition, safety principles, the historical development of dance, and the specialized vocabulary of dance criticism.Students participate in all Dance Department performances, guest artist workshops, trips and tours.
The program puts a strong emphasis on personal development and working towards your potential within each designated area of dance. Dance is an artistic and athletic skill in which you build appreciation for artistic expression and training.

Dance Audition
MORNING WORKSHOP (Mandatory)

AFTERNOON AUDITION/INTERVIEW (Mandatory)
- One solo of the dance style you feel most confident showcases your skills (1:30-2:00 minutes)

- Leotard or form fitted clothing (no mid-drifts showing)
