History
Yorkhill E.S. was officially opened in 1987. We now have approximately 390 students attending our school. The student body reflects the multicultural makeup of our community. Yorkhill E.S. is located at 350 Hilda Avenue, in Thornhill.
Our school Motto is: Yorkhill Elementary School - YES WE CAN
Our School Mascot is the Cougar.
Our School Touchstone guides our actions, attitudes and behaviours.
Our School colours are Blue and White.
Facilities
Yorkhill ES is offers Grades 1, 2 and 3 French Immersion programming. In September 2015, we began to offer Grade 3 French Immersion.
In the English stream, we offer Full Day Kindergarten (JK/SK) through to Grade 8.
We also have a Community Classroom for children with ASD.
