Attending School Council Meetings is an effective avenue for keeping parents involved in our school improvement plan. As parents and teachers, we can work together to provide all of our young people with a wide range of resources in order to engage them more authentically in their learning. Links with the home and the community are important at all levels of schooling. A strong body of research shows that when parents, caregivers and the community support the work of the school and are involved in the activities, the students make greater progress.
