Audition Excerpts:
Musical Theatre

  • Be careful when trying to learn songs using "YouTube"; there are many different versions of these pieces.
  • Look over the music carefully and ensure that you are performing the assigned pieces as written.
  • Practice along with the rehearsal tracks ahead of time so that you are familiar with the accompaniment.
  • Bring sheet music for the song of your own choice if you would like the accompanist to play for you; for your Own Choice Song only, it is acceptable to use an accompaniment/karaoke track on a CD or device (ex: iPhone), sing a cappella, or self-accompany on any instrument.
  • You may choose a third piece from the audition selections list as your "own choice" solo if you prefer.
