Below you will find valuable resources for learning about and applying to scholarships, bursaries, grants, awards, and competitions.

Black Foundation of Community Networks:
Black Foundation of Community Networks (BFCN) aims to empower both the individual and family unit, one at a time with the ability and knowledge to access available resources from established groups within the community.  Their scholarship directory for 2020 has been updated and can be found here.

Alliance of Educators for Black Students (AEBS):
The Alliance of Educators for Black Students (AEBS) is dedicated to the success of Black students of African Canadian heritage in schools in the York Region District School Board. Unfortunately, AEBS had to cancel the 2020 Achievement Awards Ceremony due to the COVID-19 pandemic physical distancing policy; however, AEBS believes it is important for students to have access to funds to help pay for their postsecondary education.

AEBS invites Black students who are graduating to apply for a scholarship. To see a list of scholarships and to apply, students should CLICK HERE.

An optional informational webinar will be held on Friday, May 15th at 4:30 p.m. on Google Meet for students interested in applying for an AEBS scholarship. Students should CLICK HERE to join the webinar or use the meeting name ‘aebs2020scholarshipinfo’.
