The School Improvement Plan is reviewed yearly by school staff to ensure that it successfully addresses the effective development of student achievement academically, socially and emotionally. Our focus is dedicated to three major areas: Well-Being and Mental Health, Mathematics and Modern Learning. We are also focused on providing our students with the technological tools and knowledge to succeed in the 21 Century.
The following summary will help to explain each area of the plan and how it will impact future student success:
Well Being and Mental Health: Ensuring that each student feels safe, part of a caring school community and engaged in their learning.
Mathematics: Developing student interest and confidence in Math, their mastery of math facts and their ability to connect Math to real life and demonstrate their problem solving abilities.
Modern Learning: Engaging students in inquiry and project based learning through problem solving, collaborative learning and opportunities to apply their knowledge while using technology as a tool that enhances learning.
As part of this School Plan for Continuous Improvement (SPCI) our strategies include providing workshops for our staff and parents; purchasing and implementing relevant resources and communicating regularly with our community members.
