The Schulich Foundation is excited to kick off the another year of Schulich Builders, scholarships for the skilled trades. They are awarding 100 Scholarships for one-year certificate and two-year diploma focussing on skilled trades at 10 Ontario colleges, with a value of $40.000 per award for two-year diploma programs and $20,000 per award for one-year certificate programs.  We rely on skilled trades to build and maintain the infrastructure of our cities and towns. Our challenge is not having enough of these talented people to meet the demands fueled by our growth. Schulich Builders will combat the shortage of skilled trades in Ontario and amplify their importance and value to our communities by awarding 100 annual scholarships to the most promising candidates.  The Guidance Department is looking to nominate up to five (5) students for the Schulich Builders Scholarship for Skilled Trades Scholarship.  The student must be a Canadian citizen, have a strong work ethic, demonstrate financial need, and be respectful of people from different backgrounds.  Students must be enrolling in a full time, eligible skilled trades one-year certificate or two-year diploma program at a participating college starting in the Fall.   Please note: You do not have to type on the template provided for the nomination form.  Please upload your completed application to the Hodan Nalayeh Regular Scholarship Submission form by March 1, 2024.
