School Registration
​​Thank you for choosing Huron Heights Secondary School and welcome. Registering for school takes a few easy steps. 

If any of the following apply, please visit the Reception Centre

-      Students new to Canada (residing in Canada less than 6 months)

-      Students transferring to YRDSB from home schooling in Ontario

-      Students transferring to YRDSB from other boards in Ontario/other provinces with time-sensitive documents, e.g. work permits, refugee claimants

-      Returning students from outside Canada who have been residing elsewhere internationally for over one year


All other students should register as follows:

STEP 1:

Using our School Locator, find your home school using your home address.  If Huron Heights SS is your home school, please skip to step 3. 

STEP 2:

If you wish to enroll at Huron Heights SS, but live outside our boundaries, please fill in the Transfer Form and submit, along with the documents listed in step 3 no later than February 5, 2021.

STEP 3:

Please choose one of the 4 scenarios below and submit those documents which apply to huron.heights.ss@yrdsb.ca

(Exception: students in Grade 8 from a YRDSB school, should submit directly to their elementary school)


A – A Grade 8 Student from a YRDSB elementary school

·         Secondary School Registration Form

·         ​Please complete your course selections on My Pathway Planner per your elementary school instructions 


B - Grade 8 Student from a NON-YRDSB elementary school

(i.e.: YCDSB, other board, private school)

·         Secondary School Registration Form

·         Grade 9 Course selection form (coming soon)

·         Your most recent report card/progress report

·         Proof of birth date and proof of address will be required in person at your registration meeting (you will be invited to a meeting with a vice-principal in spring 2021 to finalize your registration).

C - Grade 9-12 from a YRDSB secondary school

·         Index Card from your current school

·         Credit Counselling Summary from your current school

·         Course Selection Form (coming soon)


D - Grade 9-12 from a NON-YRDSB secondary school

(i.e.: YCDSB, other board or private school)

·         Course Selection Form (coming soon)

·         Credit Counselling Summary(Student Status Sheet) from your current school

·         Proof of birth date and proof of address will be required in person at your registration meeting (you will be invited to a meeting with a vice-principal in spring 2021 to finalize your registration).

-      Birth Certificate

-      Passport

-      Pl​ease see Secondary School Registration Form for other options


***Acceptable Proof of Residency Documents include:

-      Property Tax Bill

-      Rental/Lease Agreement

-      Utility Bill (Gas or Hydro Only)

-      Agreement of Purchase and Sale
