Huron Heights is home to one of four regional Arts programs for students who want to immerse themselves in the Arts experience. Students are part of an immersive arts community with workshops, field trips and showcase opportunities. Admission to the Arts Huron program at the Grade Nine (9) level is based on a successful audition/presentation and successful completion of eight Arts Huron credits.

Students choose to specialize in one of Dance, Theatre, Visual Arts or Music (Instrumental, vocal or guitar). During this four-year program (Grades 9-12) the students study two Arts Huron courses each year in Dance or Theatre or Music or Visual Arts. Students are required to take a minimum of one arts breadth course outside their discipline.

Students are expected to maintain acceptable levels of achievement in all subjects as well as excellent attendance and good deportment. Upon successful completion of the four-year arts program students will receive an Arts Huron certificate recognizing their achievement and the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (O.S.S.D.) will be awarded upon completion of the required credits.

There is an annual program fee for Arts Huron students of $150.00, payable upon acceptance to the program and then each school year thereafter as long as the student stays in the program. With the continued commitment to excellence in the Arts Huron program, the annual $150.00 Arts Huron Fee supports an augmented learning experience over and above what is provided for students in a regular high school setting. Funds go towards guest artists, life models, professional workshops, materials, costumes and unique learning experiences.

Some Arts Huron students are entitled to Board provided transportation based on their residential address. This skeletal bussing is not guaranteed, and is subject to change at any point.
