Our School

History
When the first Jersey Public School opened it received its name as a result of being located in the Village of Jersey in 1870. The school was a log building, located south of the Maskinonge River – (some called it the Jersey River).
The second Jersey School was built in 1878 on our present sitebut this log building was destroyed by a fire.  The thrid Jersey school was built in 1904.  It was a one room school house for students from grades 1-8.  Jersey P.S. was officially opened in 1946. Additions were placed on the original school in 1954/56/59/69. In 2006, Jersey Public School was rebuilt and opened as it is today.

Our school motto is "Respectful, Responsible and Reasonable".

Our school mascot is The Jersey Hawk.
