History
When the first Jersey Public School opened it received its name as a result of being located in the Village of Jersey in 1870. The school was a log building, located south of the Maskinonge River – (some called it the Jersey River). The second Jersey School was built in 1878 on our present sitebut this log building was destroyed by a fire. The thrid Jersey school was built in 1904. It was a one room school house for students from grades 1-8. Jersey P.S. was officially opened in 1946. Additions were placed on the original school in 1954/56/59/69. In 2006, Jersey Public School was rebuilt and opened as it is today.
Our school motto is "Respectful, Responsible and Reasonable". Our school mascot is The Jersey Hawk.
