Math Department 107
Math Department

The Mathematics department offers a variety of courses to meet the needs of the student population. At the grade 9 and 10 level, students may choose to enroll in Locally Developed, Applied, or Academic level programs, depending on their interest and skill level. At the senior level (grades 11 and 12), the courses are named to indicate the level of mathematics students will need for their desired destination after graduation.

Mathematics is a subject which requires regular, sequential practice. Homework is frequently assigned in all mathematics classes. It is essential that students perform math exercises at home as a means of strengthening skills, keeping up with understanding, and maximizing performance. We offer extra help everyday either before or after school in the Math Help Centre. In addition, arrangements for extra help can be made with your teacher. Students are encouraged to seek extra help when they are experiencing difficulty.
