Construction of the King City composite school began in 1960.  The doors were open and classes were ready to begin in 1961.  Additions were placed on the original school in 1963/1965/1990.
Since its inception in 1961 as a school community, K.C.S.S. has provided quality academic education accompanied by artistic, athletic, and technical studies opportunities for students.
