Google Translate is a free service and currently offers translation in over 50 languages, although an impressive number, this does not capture all languages or dialects. The basic translation’s goal is to capture the general intention of the original English material.
The York Region District School Board does not guarantee the quality, accuracy or completeness of any translated information. Before you act on translated information, the Board encourages you to confirm any facts that are important to you and affect any decisions you may make.

At Pierre Berton Public School, we are guided by a carefully crafted touchstone that inspires positive decision-making every day. This touchstone was developed through a thoughtful process, incorporating valuable input from students, staff, and parents. Our Student Leadership Team diligently identified common themes and ideas to create this unifying symbol, which is prominently displayed at our school entrance, in our gym, and throughout our classrooms.
As a school, we have fostered unity through both learning and performing our school song, creating a lasting chapter in the history of Pierre Berton Public School.
