Pierre Berton Public School is committed to supporting the Trustee, Director and Board improvement plans. Five areas have been identified for focus in these plans; Literacy and Numeracy, Equity, Environment, Engagement and Well-Being.
The following is an outline of our School Improvement Plan including highlights of some of the areas of focus to support student achievement.

Students will demonstrate an improvement in their ability to think critically across all areas of the curriculum.
Students will demonstrate improvement in the improvement in their ability to read and respond in written form to a variety of text forms
Students will improve in their ability to justify and explain their thinking in a variety of problem solving contexts in mathematics
Engagement and Well-Being, Equity, Environment:
Staff and students will develop a supportive, equitable and inclusive environment that is healthy, safe and environmentally responsible
Students will be engaged through appropriate programming and learning experiences that are personalized, collaborative and differentiated
