Welcome to a new school year! Welcome back to our returning students and families and welcome our new students and families joining our Ross Doan community for the first time. We are looking forward to creating opportunities for collaboration, and cooperation and getting to know Ross Doan community members. We hope you have had a wonderful summer in the company of family and friends and are ready, excited and looking forward to an enjoyable new school year filled with many memorable and rewarding learning experiences.  Here at Ross Doan, everyone belongs, everyone contributes and everyone matters! Please join our Ross Doan staff as we work together for the success of all our students. 

At Ross Doan, we have a dedicated staff with a strong commitment to student well-being and achievement, and to creating an environment where everyone feels safe, welcome and respected. We enjoy a tradition of cooperation, support and mutual respect between home and school. This partnership is essential to the academic and social growth of our students, and the open communication between home and school. 

There are ways that parents/guardians can support this learning and strengthen the partnership between school and home:

·        keep informed about the school through the school newsletters, school website, school Twitter feed, classroom websites, and info screen in our front foyer

·        join us at School Council meetings

·        attend school events and functions

·        communicate with your child’s teacher

·        review the information in the Student Agenda as well as the Board's “Guide to the School Year​.”
