Welcome to Thornhill Secondary School. Thornhill Secondary School has a rich and long history of excellence and serves a diverse community, where every individual is a valued member of the school community. We proudly offer a wide variety of programs including SHSM (Transportation, Business, and Health and Wellness), AP (Advanced Placement), and varied courses within each department that can be viewed under the Departments and Programs tab. Thornhill Secondary School also offers a wide variety of extracurricular activities including athletics, the arts, robotics, DECA, and the debate team, to name a few.

Our dedicated and caring staff welcomes students daily. We support the whole student and work to create a safe and respectful environment where all students’ voices are heard. As a staff, we support and prepare students for life after high school, academically, socially, and emotionally. We aim to cultivate skills such as innovation, collaboration, critical thinking, and creativity. We want every student to feel welcomed and included and we work towards fostering kindness, empathy, respectful relationships, and a growth mindset in students as they become global citizens in a constantly changing world.
