Library Hours

Monday to Friday    7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Lending Procedures

  • To borrow library materials, students must show their student cards, timetables or TeachAssist accounts.  There is a maximum of two items on loan for any given topic.
  • The loan period for most library items is 2 weeks.  Overdue materials incur a fine of 25 cents per day with a $5.00 maximum per item.
  • Most materials may be renewed, provided that any outstanding fines are paid first.  Students may renew an item even if the item is not present.

The Library offers 25 networked computers for student use on a first-come, first served basis.  Computers are intended for schoolwork only.  Online social networking, videos, games, and so on are not permitted in the Library.

Computers may be reserved by teacher-librarians for classes booked into the Library for research projects.  In such cases, there may be limited computer availability for itinerant students.

Printer / Photocopier

Students are given a credit of $2.50 in their print accounts at the beginning of each semester.  Printing costs 5 cents per page.  Students who require additional print credit may refill their print accounts at a coin-operated kiosk in the Library.  Please note that the printer will only print 1 copy and a maximum of 10 pages at a time.

Seminar Rooms

Two seminar rooms (The Think Tank and Meeting of the Minds) are available to be booked out by staff and students.  To book, please speak to library staff at the circulation desk.

The following rules and expectations are in place to ensure a quiet, clean and comfortable workspace for students and staff.

  • Students may use the Library during lunch, study hall and/or with teacher permission during class.
  • The Library is reserved for students to read, study, conduct research, collaborate on projects and/or complete homework.  Please socialize in the halls or the cafeteria.

  • Please speak and work quietly in the Library.
  • No food or drink (except water) is to be consumed in the Library.
