  • CBC educational programs can be streamed for free (you do not need to subscribe or pay anything!)
  • This online resource is available to all of our elementary & secondary schools in both English and French languages.

    How to create an account:
    1. Navigate to
    2. Look for the Login button in the upper right corner.
    3. Scroll down to "Got an access code?"
    4. Enter the following access code P8UA-CGPM
    5. Fill out the short registration form and click on Continue.
    6. *IMPORTANT* An activation link will be sent to you by email.
    7. When you receive your activation email, follow the link and enter your email and password to login

Return visitors:

Once you've set up your account, on return visits you can use the same Login button to enter your email and password.​

Student Access:

Students can access without an account by simply using Curio within the school's local network.  Student access at home is currently unavailable at the moment.


Desire2Learn / YRDSB E-Learning

  • Is a learning management system similar to Moodle
  • Allows integration of various Ministry supported digital resources, Ministry created content and interactive learning activities from the Ontario Education Resource Bank with teacher's own content and various other Web 2.0 tools.
  • Login using your firstname.lastname.01 as both the username and password.
  • Go the Blended Learning Teacher section where you will find the course activation, content request, and student access instructions (PDF document) to begin using the learning management system.

  • A storytelling initiative of Historica Canada
  • Invite a Passages Canada volunteer to speak in person at your school about their cultural identity and heritage

Teaching Kids News
  • Takes current and relevant news stories about global events and writes them in an accessible and interesting format for students (Reading level:  Grades 2-8)
