Unionville Athletics
Unionville High School students are encouraged to participate in interscholastic athletics. Competitive sport opportunities complement and enhance a student’s learning at school. Athletes are required to pay a team fee to participate on a team. Teams are determined by student interest and the availability of volunteer coaches.
UHS students compete in the York Region Athletic Association against schools from across York Region. Competition occurs in two age classifications: Junior (grades 9 & 10) and Senior (grades 11 and 12.) Athletic Council
UHS has an active and energetic athletic council. The student directors and council plan many different athletic events and charitable fundraisers throughout the year. Events may include:
- 3 on 3 basketball tournament
- 4 on 4 volleyball tournament
- Flag football tournament
- Dodgeball tournament
- Badminton tournament
- Floor hockey tournament
- Terry Fox Run
- Athletic Banquet
