Personalized Alternative Education (PAE) is a holistic approach to student learning.
Our programmes marry flexible classroom instruction with real world, experiential learning. 

ALEP: Alternative Learning Experience Programme:
Westmount Collegiate offers an alternative program which allows students the opportunity to earn high school credits by combining in-school instruction and experience in the workplace.  Entry to the program is on a continual basis and credits will be pro-rated for students who are admitted after the beginning of the semester.  This program was developed to address the needs of students who had left (or were planning to leave) school for personal and/or financial reasons and wished to continue their education in a work-oriented program.

This is a five credit semester based programme and is generally geared toward senior
students.  ALEP allows students to earn credits in English and/or Math by attending classes for one full day per week for each course.  Students will also be working in a desired field and earn credits for related "Community Based Education" courses.

Please note: Possible course levels offered would be essential, applied, college and workplace in Math and English.  Other courses offered are guidance: Discovering the Workplace, Designing Your Future, and Navigating the Workplace.  All of which are to aid in helping the student explore a future career and/or get a job.

A personal interview with the Alternative​ Education teacher is required.
