The use of the target language by the teacher and students is an excellent way to improve and enhance communication skills
Dialogs, skits and games should be based on thematic activities
Focus as much as possible on oral production
Focus on communication tasks which are based on real life experiences of the students, as well as social activities which interest and motivate students to learn how to speak the target language
Dialogs and tasks should focus on interaction as opposed to memory
Spoken production requires students to learn new vocabulary on continuous basis
Give students ample opportunities to practice target language (time in class to practice interaction with new vocabulary learned in each unit)
Give the student more than one opportunity for assessment and evaluation
Know the learner and allow him or her to use visuals, cues, English words or sentences they can refer to while speaking
Use Multiple Intelligences and Differentiated Instructions to access different learning styles
