Aldergrove
PS opened it’s doors in 1987. We have had a proud legacy of passionate
educators, community engagement and outstanding students who continue to visit
and share with us the impact of their learning of “the Grove” on their
lives.
We
currently have a learning community of approximately 650 students and 60 staff
members. Ours is a richly diverse, multi-lingual learning community. Over 72
percent of our students speak additional languages. We are proud of our diversity
and know that this can uniquely position our students to succeed in a rapidly
shrinking global village. These are assets that will assist our students
to successfully position Canada in the global landscape. This is one feature of
learning at the Grove.
As
educators, we are visitors on the landscape of our school community. As such,
we understand that the success of our students is based on a strong and healthy
partnership between school, student and home. We want our school to be both a
hub and a site for community development. We continue to nurture this through
ongoing partnerships with our families, school council and community agencies/partners.
