Junior P.A.E. – located both
at KHS and in the Personalized Alternative Education Center at 204 Simcoe Ave.
KHS - Students are
able to complete many core subjects in grades 9 and 10 at the applied and
essential levels. Students are accepted on a continuous intake. The student is
scheduled either in a quad-mester or combination of quad-mester and main stream
programming. Entry to this program is through consultation with administration.
204 Simcoe -
Students are able to complete many core subjects in grades 9 and 10 at the
applied and essential levels. Students are accepted on a continuous intake. The
student is scheduled in a 4-credit, semester-based program with a modified
school day. Entry to this program is
through consultation with administration.
Senior P.A.E. – located both
at KHS and in the Personalized Alternative Education Center at 204 Simcoe Ave.

able to complete credits in grade 11 and 12 courses at the college and
workplace levels. Students are accepted on a continuous intake. The student is
scheduled either in a quad-mester or combination of quad-mester and main stream
programming. Entry to this program is through consultation with administration.
204 Simcoe -
Students are able to complete credits in grade 11 and 12 courses at the college
and workplace levels. Students are accepted on a continuous intake. The student
is scheduled either into a quad-mester program of 4 credits. Entry to this
program is through consultation with administration.
ALEP – located in the Personalized Alternative Education Center at 204 Simcoe Ave.
The ALEP Program allows students
who have a job to continue to work and come to school one day per week, or
more (up to 3 days per week). Credits are delivered through classroom experiences,
blended learning, and Cooperative Education opportunities. A student can also
choose to complete CBE credits only if all compulsory credits are obtained.
SAL – located both at
KHS and in the Personalized Alternative Education Center at 204 Simcoe Ave.
The SAL Program is for student under 18, and can include any of our
P.A.E. programs as well as a combination: compulsory credits in the form of new
credit opportunities, credit recovery, Community-Based Education (either paid
or unpaid placements), as well as counseling and / or job skills workshops.
