As part of the diploma requirements, students must complete a minimum of 40 hours of community involvement activities during their secondary school years. Accumulation of community involvement hours may begin the summer after grade 8.

Guidance is ONLY collecting up to the 40 hours. If you volunteer more than the 40 hours, hold onto the forms for the purpose of resuming building, graduation awards, and post-secondary supplementary applications.
Changes for the 2021-2022 School Year:
For the 2021-2022 school year, the Ministry of Education is revising the 40-hour community involvement graduation requirement by providing increased flexibility in how hours can be earned for all students, so that they will not be adversely impacted by the ongoing challenges related to COVID-19.
Students Graduating in the 2021-2022 School Year:
The community involvement graduation requirement will be reduced to a minimum of 20 hours of community involvement activities.
