In addition to Keswick High School policies, the Music program has established the following guidelines regarding due dates, missed work and late assignments:
Written Tasks: Written tasks submitted after the assigned due date will receive descriptive feedback; however, the work may not be eligible for full marks (i.e., late marks, partial credit, or zero). Students anticipating to hand in late work should speak with their teacher ahead of the due date to negotiate a new date.
Playing Tests: Students are expected to perform on the assigned day (due date). Students who do not achieve level 3 performance criteria may reschedule for a re-test with the teacher at a mutually agreeable time. Absent students must have an approved absence from the playing test date to have the opportunity to complete their test. Playing tests not attempted may result in a mark of zero.
Group Performance Tasks: Students groups are expected to perform on their assigned date, regardless if partners are missing. Students must have an approved absence for the assigned date to have the opportunity to complete the evaluation. Students with an approved absence are permitted to perform with group members to receive performance marks; group members who have performed twice are given the better of the two marks assigned. Students with an unapproved absence from group performances may receive a mark of zero.
