Our School
Newmarket High School - The Family School
Serving the Community for Five Generations
Newmarket High School is firmly rooted in its community. As such, N.H.S. builds on a long-standing tradition, which enables its staff and students to respond effectively to new demands, and challenges brought on by a changing environment. Throughout all changes, the school’s community is aware of the importance of maintaining a warm family atmosphere, which supports the needs of its students.

Newmarket High School addresses the concerns and needs of the whole person through its regular programming, additional supports and co-curricular activities. The school strives to maintain a positive environment in which cognitive and physical development of its students are promoted in association with an awareness of appropriate values, both moral and societal.
Newmarket High School nurtures a climate for school life in which interpersonal, as well as school and community relationships may grow. The school not only promotes open communication between staff and students, but also fosters the same attitude in its communication with parents and with the community at large.

Newmarket High School is committed to:
  • Developing life-long learners
  • Developing students who are responsible, caring and self disciplined citizens,
  • Providing a strong co-curricular program,
  • Providing access to information technology across the curriculum, and
  • Strengthening our partnerships with parents and the community
