In addition to the mental health supports below, that were shared earlier, please be aware of the YRDSB’s COVID-19 Community Resources for Behaviour, Mental Health and Financial Supports.  The information on the attached webpage has been curated by YRDSB staff to support York Region families.


MOBYSS​​​

MOBYSS​ is Ontario’s first mobile walk-in clinic for youth that provides primary care and mental health care to individuals between the ages of 12-25. Our services are completely free of charge, anonymous, and do not require a health card. The MOBYSS team is comprised of a Nurse Practitioner, Youth Mental Health Worker, and Peer Support Specialist.

·       Students may call 289-879-2376 to schedule an appointment over the phone or they can request an appointment online at Save Your Spot.

Family Services York Region

Offering counselling for families and individuals via telephone or video conferencing.

·          Currently accepting new referrals for telephone and video counselling

·          Newmarket: 905-895-2371

·          Provides services on a sliding scale. A fee may be required.

·          2SLGBTQ+  Counselling and Consultation available

York Hills

Offering a range of mental health services to children up to the age of 18 and their families.

Telephone ‘walk-in style’ counselling available for youth.  Students may call and be connected to a therapist.

  • Offers a holistic and harm reduction approach to addiction treatments by providing counselling programs for youth and their families
  • Access to counselling for parents on a one on one basis
  • Offers a parents-group program as an eight-week session meeting with others about their youth’s substance abuse or dependence issues
  • Outreach is available at NHS for students
