History

Take a trip into the past!

Beginning with Canadian history in grade 10, students who choose courses in the history department choose to learn about the world in which they live.

We offer a wide range of courses from world religions to law, economics, native studies and anthropology and of course, history! Through these classes, students will have the opportunity to develop inquiry, research and communication skills and make connections between themselves and wider world.

In the past, students of history have had the opportunity to travel to Spain, Southern France, and Italy. Most recently, students participated in a battlefields tour of Europe with stops at notable World War I battlegrounds such as Passchendaele, Vimy Ridge and Ypres and World War II sites including the Anne Frank house, Dieppe, and Juno Beach.

We look forward to our next adventure!
