The Specialist High
Skills Major program is a Ministry of Education initiative designed for
students entering any post secondary destination.
The program allows
students to focus some of their credits on a particular sector, gain
valuable work experience, earn specialized certifications, participate in reach
ahead and career explorations opportunities and earn a Specialized Ontario
Secondary School Diploma.

Huron Heights offers the
Specialist High Skills Diploma in the following SIX sectors:
Arts and Culture (can be
earned in conjunction with or separately from Arts Huron Certificate)
Construction
Health and Wellness
Hospitality and Tourism
Manufacturing
Transportation

Students should apply in
Grade 10 during the Course Requests period (February) and select appropriate courses based on the
pathway charts. Additional information can be found on the back of the Master
Calendar distributed during course selection time as well as in Career Cruising.
Current grade 11 and 12
