All grade 10 students will take a full credit
course titled “Canadian History since 1914” and a half credit “Civics” course.
In both of these programs, the history department infuses critical
thinking activities and project based learning to engage our students in a
study of the past, present and future. In senior grades, students can
deepen their understanding of Canadian and world studies by studying Ancient
Civilizations, Philosophy, Politics, and Modern Western Civilizations. We aim
to help students develop the critical thinking thinking, communication,
collaboration and citizenship skills required to be successful in future
educational pursuits and contributing members of our community.
